Stories have power. Yet, time and time again, the stories we most need to hear often go unheard. Despite the historic Supreme Court ruling in June protecting DACA recipients, there are a number of forces threatening the rights of undocumented immigrants. With more stories coming from our undocumented community members, now is the time to listen.

In partnership with the City of Beaverton, The Immigrant Story presents “DREAMs Deferred Live,” a two-day livestreamed event featuring one night of music and one night of storytelling.

Join us Saturday Sept. 12 for the first night of DREAMs Deferred Live to hear five compelling stories told — and lived — by undocumented or formerly undocumented members of our community who grew up with American values without feeling valued by their country.

Our storytellers: Bernal Cruz (Guatemala), Liliana Luna (Mexico), Miguel Rodriguez (Mexico), Petrona Dominguez (Guatemala), Heriberto Bolanos (Mexico).
