Juniper Yarnall-Benson is a sophomore at Portland Community College where she studies art history and graphic design. Her family comes from a long line of Scottish and English immigrants, tracing back to the Mayflower on both sides of her family. She has always been passionate about personal stories, and was drawn to The Immigrant Story by the honesty and courage each story shares. When not writing she enjoys learning Spanish, snowboarding, and spending time near the ocean. She hopes to continue her studies in art and writing in order to connect people across many disciplines.
