As a student in India, Prashant worked hard and finally achieved the American dream of a well-paying job in engineering and a career that made his parents proud. But his heart told him he had a different purpose in life. When the chance came to DJ, he knew he had found his calling: to bring joy to others through creating community with music and dance. Through his dance troupe, Jai Ho, he thrives on making this dream a reality.
On September 22nd, 2023, The Immigrant Story brought its acclaimed live storytelling event, The Immigrant Story Live, to the U.S. Bank Main Stage at Portland Center Stage.
