Nina-Grace Montes is a senior at University of Oregon majoring in Journalism and minoring in Latinx Studies. She also works as a sports writer, focusing on how baseball, and sports in general, impact communities globally. A descendant of Cuban immigrants, Nina is a Ronald E. McNair scholar. After graduation in June of 2024, she will work towards a Master’s degree in Media and Cinema Studies at Arizona State University. Outside of the classroom, she is the Director of Community Relations for the Eugene Emeralds, a minor league affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. In her free time, she loves to read and collect sneakers.
