Katie Livermore is a junior at Oregon State University, where she is Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Barometer, the student newspaper. She is pursuing degrees in international studies and creative writing with minors in journalism and chemistry. She enjoys writing about human rights, politics and people. Katie is a fourth-generation Ukrainian, and is passionate about her resilient roots. She loves learning about other cultures and how they play into identity in the U.S. She is a poet, a ballerina and also enjoys singing. After graduating, she plans to attend a graduate school in New York City to study international journalism.
