Gia Patel is a Junior attending Willamette University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Policy, Law & Ethics. As the daughter of an immigrant and a first-generation American, she has experienced many issues related to immigration from a young age. Much of her family resides in Gujarat, India, but many have immigrated to the United States as the years have passed. Coming from a background of journalism, she is incredibly excited about applying this knowledge to a project she is passionate about. In her free time, Gia enjoys writing and painting. After graduating, she plans on attending law school.
