Emily Denny is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley, where she studied English Literature and Environmental Policy. While a student, she was an editor and senior staff writer at the city of Berkeley’s independent newspaper, The Daily Californian. Emily has held various positions with non-profit organizations such as Inequality Media and Save the Redwoods League, and has written feature stories for the Blum Center for Developing Economies. Emily’s great-grandparents came to the United States from Sweden and the British Isles. She looks forward to spending her career focusing on the perspectives of rural and marginalized communities in environmental media. An avid hiker and long-distance runner, she can often be found visiting her park ranger parents or in the nearest natural space.
