Danielle Tran is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying English and Education. The daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, they owe their value for higher education to their father, who quit high school to work, and their love of reading to their mother, a kindergarten teacher who ushered them and their (twin!) sister on weekly trips to the library. They are currently spending the semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where they hope to add Spanish to their existing language toolkit of English and Vietnamese. In their free time, they enjoy drawing, running, and exploring local swing dance venues. If they claim to be working on their novel, they are most likely bluffing.
